THE TELL-TALE HEARTS – Nevermore: The Definitive Anthology (Teen Sound Records) 2-LP
At last, the definitive anthology of San Diego garage R&Beat group the Tell-Tale Hearts. Compiled by the band members, this double album collection gathers all of the studio recordings from their 1984-86 heyday, along with rare demos and live recordings. Most importantly it features the previously unreleased original mixes of the band’s debut album – the full album as they originally intended it, rather than the neutered mix released at the time without their approval. The difference is astonishing. The two LPs come in a gatefold jacket with liner notes by Hugh Dellar and an array of vintage photos.
